Accessible care starts with an accessible website
Herscher Dentistry is committed to making our website usable for all visitors, including people with disabilities. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our standard, and we review the site regularly to keep improving.
Measures we have taken
- Keyboard navigation: every menu, link, button, and form control can be reached and used with a keyboard alone — including the mobile navigation panel and the FAQ accordions.
- Tap targets: buttons and links are sized to at least 44 pixels, so they're easy to tap on phones and tablets.
- Readable contrast: body text, headings, and buttons meet the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, and interactive elements aren't identified by color alone.
- Reduced motion: visitors who prefer less animation get a calm experience — the site respects the "reduce motion" setting in their operating system or browser.
- Labeled forms: every field in our contact form has a visible, properly associated label, and required fields are clearly marked.
- Clear structure: each page has one main heading, a logical heading order, descriptive link text, and a skip link that jumps straight to the page content.
Accessibility is never "done"
Websites change as content is added, and assistive technology keeps evolving too.
